Fracture Treatment For Broken Foot



If you need to treat a fracture in the foot of the patient, you must give him first aid relevant for the broken foot or. Here are some tips that you need to remember:
1.     The first and foremost thing you can do is stabilization and elevation. You must elevate the leg to prevent it from bleeding and swelling. This will also reduce pain.
2.     Any type of splint available nearby can be beneficial. A pillow cover can be used to wrap around the foot and tie it with a bandage. This will avoid the movement of the fractured bone.
3.      Do not wrap the injured foot tightly. It can cut off the blood circulation and the muscles nearby can die. So the situation may be worse.
4.     As mentioned earlier, elevation is the best aid for fracture. It can be given easily as first aid. The elevated portion of the body must be higher than the heart.
5.     An ice pack will be helpful. Wrap the ice in a towel and put it on the fractured part. It will reduce pain and also prevent the area from swelling.
6.     Do not move your legs as it can cause further injury. You need medical help.
