Joint Fracture

In the joint fracture the bones of body break into two parts. In our body, there are a lot of joints that allow us to move our body in different manners. Many patients think a broken bone always require a surgical treatment and a long recovery period or and that it needs only a cast or a brace.
A Jones Fracture is a break in the fifth metatarsal that occurs in between the mid shaft portion of the bone and the posterior or base of the metatarsal. In the case of the Avulsion Fracture, a small piece of bone breaks off due to the pull of a ligament or tendon. This type of injury is often caused by "inversion" or rolling in of the ankle. There is no to be confused about these two types of injuries.
The best thing to know the exact position of the broken bones is to diagnose them with an X-ray. You have to use X-ray because it can show you the eject position of the injury. The machine plays a vital role in detecting where the joint fracture.
After diagnosis, orthopedists use uniform descriptions and classifications to help explain to patients the appropriate treatment and the expected outcome of the treatment for their broken bone.
The Torg classification system for fractured bones is commonly used by physicians to determine proper treatment based on radiographic findings. However, the most important aspect a patient should remember is that a break in the bone and a fracture are the same injury and it always requires medical attention. So it is important in the case of a broken or stressed bone, you have to consult with the doctor. It is a must.
